The A/C-Heat Pump in my 2005 Dolphin will not start. The problem began following a power outage at the RV Park. I have replaced the thermostat, and verified the command voltages. I unplugged the RV from the electrical source and used generator power to see if that made a difference. It did not. I have written to Coleman requesting a manual, but would appreciate any input that might help solve this problem! The temperature is going to be near 100 tomorrow! Thanks!

Have you checked the breaker that feeds this unit?

We've all overlooked breakers, you aren't an RVer until you've earned your stripes by overlooking the obvious. That being said, I'm going to assume that you have 50-amp service, which actually means you have 100 amps coming into your coach, 50 on one line and 50 on the other. When these lines get to the panel they each go through a 50-amp breaker and then each breaker is distributed to many smaller breakers for the various coach systems. Hopefully, you not only checked the heat pump breaker, but also the 50-amp breaker feeding it. Before concentrating on the heat pump being the problem, I'd use a voltmeter to verify that it's getting power. If it isn't, the problem lies upstream. If it is, then you need a manual or a pro familiar with your unit. Good luck. - Dave

Thanks, Dave...I have done all the voltmeter checks and power is present in the right locations. I requested a manual and, you're right...I may have to see a pro.

THANK YOU....that was VERY helpful, indeed. Found the manual using your link...GREAT! The story may have a happy ending today....I had already replaced the thermostat and today, will be replacing the circuit board. The only issue I'm facing is the different size of the board! It's about half the size of the current one. It's the "new and improved" version! So much for removing and replacing one wire at a time! I am at a rally with lots of willing and able guys...things are looking up! Thanks again!
