I have always loved to go camping, and have been in a very abusive relationship for over 10 years now. I recently made the decision to become a full time rv'er. I have to do this the inexpensive way though, as I own nothing but a mini-van. I own 2 Great Danes, and want to buy a tow vehicle and a travel trailer. I have read anything and everything I can get my hands on in secret as I have yet to tell my abusive spouse of my decision. Until I have somewhere safe to go, I can't let on what I am doing. Since I have 2 giant dogs, I have been looking into purchasing a used Chevy Suburban. I only have about $17K total to spend on the tow vehicle and travel trailer. I could get a loan for what I don't have to buy either vehicle, but prefer to not have a loan payment if possible. I have always owned Toyota's and would prefer to get a 4runner, but they are so expensive I don't know if that is a good idea.

Could I get your thoughts on what is the best vehicle for a tow vehicle? Keep in mind that I will be a woman traveling alone with 2 Giant dogs!!! I am excited, nervous and of course scared, but finally feel as if I have hope!!! Thank you all in advance for your help getting me started!!!!

Crystal - Welcome to the RVA Forums. Over the years we've heard many stories similiar to yours, and how the ladies have coped with difficult situations and were able to move on via the RV lifestyle. I think if you post your situation on our Women's Forum you'll get lots of responses from ladies who have "been there, done that". You can find the forum HERE. Good luck. - Dave
