On 12/24/2007 using the Leer website I ordered a Leer Model 100XQ camper shell for my 2007 Dodge 1500 Ram Short Box Quad Cab pickup. I printed the My LEER Product Specification Order, Ref Number 56470722 and took it to my local Leer Dealer, Northwest Truck Outfitters in Lewiston Id. Phone 208-798-3125 he used it to order my new shell. When the camper shell arrived it had been shipped from CA. to Idaho on an open trailer uncovered and was full of ice and road slush the carpeted interior was full of road dirt and salts, to make things worse while unloading the shell the local dealer broke the window with his fork lift. The local dealer had to wait another week before the replacement window arrived. He refused to spend the freight cost to get a replacement window expedited The camper was installed and looks very nice on my truck, BUT the $90.00 Removable Front Slider Window I ordered is not removable because the $230.00 Overhead Storage Bin is molded in to far forward and stops the window from folding down thus not allowing it to be removed so I cannot clean between the truck and camper windows. The local dealer called Leer about the problem he received no response he told me I would have to live with it. I called and sent e-mail's to Leer several times and have been trying to talk to Joel at the LEER West factory 1-800-444-5337 or Dave Madison outside factory rep. cell number 916-281-1803. Haven't got SQUAT from them no returned calls or e-mails. 3 months and Nodda. This is a manufacturing mistake all I want is my $90.00 back for a removable window that can't be removed or the problem fixed if possible. So think very hard before you buy a LEER Product.
